Browne’s Addition Neighborhood Council is a volunteer-run organization made up residents who live, work, own property or operate a business within the designated neighborhood boundary that meet regularly to maintain and improve the quality of life in Spokane, increase resident participation in local decision-making, and form an effective partnership between the City and neighborhood residents.
If you live, work or own property in Browne’s Addition Neighborhood (here’s a map), there’s a spot for you on the council. It’s not exclusive, and there are zero dues or fees.
The Browne’s Addition Neighborhood is in City Council District 3 and is in Commissioner District 1.
The Browne’s Addition Neighborhood Council meets on the third Thursday of the month – 6:30 p.m., each month except June and July. In person meetings take place at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC), 2316 W. 1st Ave.
Annual neighborhood projects can include:
- Community Engagement Events (summer concerts in the park, tabling at ArtFest, etc.)
- Traffic Calming Improvements (mobile speed feedback trailers, asphalt art, etc.)
- Neighborhood Clean-up Events (litter pick up, annual dumpster collection pick-up, etc.)
Projects are driven by neighborhood volunteer capacity and interest. If you would like to participate in or lead a project in the neighborhood, please attend an upcoming meeting or reach out to us. Visit the Contact page for more information.
